This year’s BIFB festival spans more than 100 indoor and outdoor venues, with pop-up exhibitions in cafes, bars and laneways and exhibitions displaying the work of more than 360 artists.

The Ballarat International Foto Biennale is a significant event both locally and internationally, activating the city of Ballarat and enriching the cultural landscape of Victoria and Australia. Established in 2005 by Jeff Moorfoot OAM, it is Australia’s largest and most comprehensive international festival of photography. 2025 is the 11th anniversary of the festival which spans 60 days from August to October, during which visitors cab experience:
– A curated Core Program showcasing Australian and international artists;
– An Open Program of new artists;
– Workshops and public programs, artist-in-residence and more.
